Another round of heavy rain tomorrow.
My hill has at least a years growth, I hope it holds up.

A few weeks ago we had saturated ground, then several hard rains - there was a lot of small landslides in the area - but no houses lost that I know of.

In the City were I work there are 3 adjacent homes that had about 10 feet of their back yard drop down the hill - trees, fences and all.  The first drop happened overnight.....then the slope continued to creep for several days.

It is a natural process in this part of the country - all the hillside valleys were created by this process of erosion and hillside slippage....there is no plate movement or upheaval of ground that made the hills - the hills and valley were all made by erosion and the soil eventually ends up in the Ohio or Licking River were it gets washed away.  Luckily it is a slow process, and most homes will get old and fall down long before they slide over the hill.

The storm bringing you rain, is bringing us snow, what the heck?

We are in spring bloom too  :o

The ground is warm, so its only going to stick in places of higher elevations, etc.

Crazy.

Well, they didn't close the local school so I assume they have it in hand.
Only 1 road will be closed to handle the potential mud flow.
It just happens to cut the neighborhood in 2.

Lots of high wind here yesterday. Came home to this yesterday.  On the bright side, there is fatlighter in the base so I at least get a little prize out of the deal.
