Title: Hitch Plug Tail Light mod.

Bought this at Menards, but likely available at Lowes, Home Depot, Etc., or many auto parts stores. Basic Hitch Plug Tail Light. Great for bobber projects or mounting to flat surfaces or brackets. Cheap(~$10), simple(standard bulb), bright tail light.

Here's the wiring-S40/savage plug on the left and hitch wires on right. You have to cut off the little box that comes with it-that's made to convert the turn signal into flashing the stop light--don't need it.

This pic shows what you have after you clip off the little black box, pull the wires back through the housing to the rear, and shave down the length of the plastic housing a little bit. Now it's ready to glue into place-I used silicone and mounted it into a 2"x2" square hole in the top box mount I made myself.

And finally, a night time shot. Turned out really well, and much easier to find room and mount a smaller square than it is the large oval kind.
