This is why I think the PC doctrine has created much of the ills that currently divide this nation. We were not allowed to speak freely. Resulting in misunderstandings and ignorance. Let the NFL suffer, if it's the will of the people, actions have consequences, just like elections...... This has nothing to do with disrespecting those who fought and paid their life, for our freedoms. To me it's like putting "In God We Trust" in our currency, as if that makes it true...... ::) If as a company owner, politician, etc, I should be able to tell a racist or sexual joke. I should not be charged with a crime, censored, or punished.... However, it it's perfectly OK for folk to reject me by withholding their business from me, or their vote.... That is how life works. Trying to make it "fair" will never be attained, so we should stop trying.... |

Post by WebsterMark on 09/24/17 at 05:55:55 I've heard for the better part of three decades that soccer is gonna kill football in the USA and I think it might finally be making a dent because of a combination of the immigration without assimilation factor, head injuries scaring away female dominated households and the disconnect between the players and a certain percentage of traditional fans. Trump once again is right in that he voices this particular opinion shared by maybe 20% of the country. You might not agree with them and certain people on here will default to their only playing card and call them racist, but that doesn't change the fact a number of people are put off by young men who are paid a King's ransom for playing a game going out of their way to essentially say "F U" to those fans. I wouldn't have a problem so much if I heard a valid defense for their actions but I've heard Kappernick speak and he couldn't find his a$$ with two hands. The latest is a baseball player saying he's speaking for "those with whose voices aren't being heard." Excuse me, but all I hear are those voices! 24/7, nonstop, I hear how I'm supposed to be inclusive. Meaning what exactly, I don't know and I've not heard anyone explain to me what it is I'm so wrong about. Anyway, back to football, we have no team here in St Louis and no division one college team either so I've lost interest in football. If we did have a team and I was still a fan, I wouldn't particularly get all out of joint if some members of my team wouldn't stand because young people are generally too ignorant to see the whole picture, they're not old enough and not exactly in touch with reality anyway. |

I have read where the USA handling of Europe after WW1 led to Hitler, etc, however, that does not explain the motivation for Imperial Japan. It is much easier to Monday morning quarterback.
