Stampboards pointed out that users “have no guarantee [Photobucket] will still be in business even in a month the way this disaster is rolling out.” Instead of paying to remove the “’WannaCry’ Gangster like $US400 cash Demand dial,” the forum announcement suggested, “someone at Photobucket with a brain will see the disaster they have unleashed, and back off totally, or in large part in the next week.”

Hopefully this will be corrected by PBucket.
No way will people pay $400 ransom.
I have removed my Avatar photo and signature photo until events unfold.
No way is it possible to replace every photo ever posted...
PBucket will self destruct if they do not reverse course...

Extortion
Phooey!!... >:(

Web hosting is getting cheaper, and more competitive, could be a last attempt at solvency, I dunno.
I have a paid account with them, but only as storing, a backup, until I copy my own pictures, etc, to a thumb drive

Buying a  64GB  Drive, (Stick), is about 20.00 +/-
And will hold, 100’s of Thousands, of Photos.

Having a rudimentary, ‘web’ site, is about 80.00 - 100.00 a year,
(Including your web name, and, forwarding a, e-mail name, to your reg, e-mail)

Both, Considerably cheeper than, 400.00 a year.
For a service, that takes your name, address, phone, e-mail,
                and  SELLS that information !
(What, you thought it was, free ?)

Well it almost fits with your statement below it.

Yet I think a, 'simply Black', space, would better fit your statement below it.
