Completely disassembled my savage and I'm starting to mock it back up so I can begin to pare down my wiring. I'm basing it off of the "simplified / chopper" diagram someone else posted here years ago.

Wondering if anyone can post up a picture of the savage's "pickup coil". Tried googling, but all I seem to get are either a universal part or the ignition coil.

Try the clymer manual they have very good diagrams , it should help !

Ah, thanks! That helps. I have the download, but I was looking at the "all electrical" picture and couldn't pick it out. I'll give a look at the pic you mentioned.

Thanks, Facman! Found the photo this morning. No wonder I didn't see it lurking in the main wiring harness ;D
