Blue Ridge Parkway Ride

OK, Thursday July the 21st through the 26-27. We will go up the Blue Ridge Parkway from the south end all the way up into Virginia.

Thurs Fri Sat Sun Mon Tues and that way we will have lots of time to go side explore some. Wednesday is optional if we are running late getting back.

Please note: folks can join this trip in progress and we will post our location nightly and if we are picking up somebody that we know about we will post changes to pick up schedule right here on the thread. This trip covers a "pick up area" of the entire South & Mid East and remember, you can pick us up on the return trip as well.

Hey Oldfeller, I would love to go with you guys but I cannot make it this July. I hope you all have a great time.

Anybody that is in the area and can take a few days to join up with Oldfeller and Dave should take advantage. These gentlemen know their bikes well and are happy to share their knowledge. Riding together is a lot of fun. Sitting around and BS'ing is also a bunch of fun.

Dear Art,

Speed limit on the Blue Ridge Parkway is 45 mph. And we do that on average, consistently, around every turn and inside all them unlit tunnels (all dark and scary).

We do not wear sunglasses because of the tunnels and we do want to be able to see all the way down to forever when we look down past the guardrail on those outside hairpin turns ..... it beats the scenic overlooks all hollow.

So, in reality our main goal in life is not to run out of gas on the longer empty stretches.

Work , Work , Work ... spent the day getting ready for a concrete truck digging and making forms for a car port. next week selling calf's , then hay season and some bush-hogging , then maybe a bike ride in June or July :) .
