Title: Using exhaust studs instead of stock bolts

Has anyone replaced the exhaust flange bolts with studs & nuts ? Any better or worse ? Most bikes use studs & nuts. Opinions please.

A few have done it.  If you choose to - don't put a stud in there that will rust and get stuck in the head.  Use stainless with some never-sieze on the threads, and a brass or stainless nut....with plenty of never-sieze during assembly.

Hey Dave forgot to mention that in my world all bolts get either loctite or pure nickel never-seize & no dry bolts/nuts as a rule. Thanks again.
