Title: Can Cruz be President?...
Post by Serowbot on 01/12/16 at 10:27:59

Trump brought it up...

I was born in England, of an English mother and an American father.  I am a dual citizen,.. and cannot be President.
At least,... I didn't think so...  :-?

Is Cruz eligible?...  :-/

Oh boohoo.....
Can't we have a birther scandal. It deflects any scrunity and vetting of Hillary, and lord knows that is one person who does not look good in the lighting.
Not only that, it seems bot has all of a sudden found reason to believe and transmit Trumps message.

Why do I think it's going to be a long hot summer in Arizona?

Because you're too focused on what other people are doing.

If an illegal alien can drop a baby in America and IT'S an American, then I don't care where an American woman has a baby. If she says it's an American baby, and, why wouldn't it be?, then, the kid's an American. I'm pretty sure the illegal aliens baby is Not American, but, I know how well the Constitution is read.
Trump screwed up even talking about it.
But, hey, at least there is a dem in the race who is unblemished by scandal, stupidity, and as far as I am concerned, treason.
Hillary for Prison
2016.

There were several naturalization acts which superseded the previous, 1790, 1795, 1798, 1802, and the 12 & 14th amendments play a role as well.  IMHO the founding fathers meant natural born to mean just that.  However, after 200 + years can certainly lend to various interpretations; regardless, Barry set the precedent.

That said, I would prefer Trump to get the nomination because I don't want anyone married to a Goldman Sachs partner in a position with that much power & influence.

Sure. He's unquestionably a natural born citizen, but even if he wasn't, why should we be picky about that little bit of the constitution when the rest of it is just toilet paper as far as the political classes are concerned whenever they find it inconvenient. Besides, assuming whomever wins the job in November serves two terms the POTUS  that's elected in 2024 probably wont even speak English as his or her native language. I'll leave that persons accent to your imagination.
