Just kidding.....But I couldn't help but chuckle when I saw this at my local Tractor Supply.

Hmmm, 5 year supply... when you consider the future value of cash in your pocket, no appreciable savings.

but certainly a place to visit after the zombie Apocalypse.

$19/gallon local

vs.

this buy at $12/gallon

almost a no brainer for a garage with multiple S40's and diesel trucks in house.

Most I ever bought was thirteen gallons.pretty much all the shelves in my shop would hold, and the floor by the toolbox. Lasted a long time.
If I owned a business, had some equipment, I'd have a barrel stand and one of those drums on it.

You can buy it in large quantities at Sam's Club as well.

Best regards,

The weird part about buying the 1 gal, 2.5 gal, or 5 gallon sizes of Rotella, is that sometimes the 1 gallon jugs are cheaper per gallon.

The larger containers are less convenient to pour from - so I keep 5 of the 1 gallon size and then transfer the larger containers over to the 1 gallon jugs.  The larger 2.5 and 5 gallon containers work much better for hauling the used oil over to a neighbor that has a waste oil heater in his garage.

I've noticed that same situation with a few other things. I guess"buyer beware" applies here. Mass quantities are not ALWAYS cheaper!

Ok Dave,
That's $11.82 a gallon..... now, suppose we could get you some free gallon jugs....
And $4 each to get them to you the next day..... that's $220... then you fill them and send them back... since they weigh more it will be um, $376 (give or take $15)
Oh and the hazardous shipping fee for each..... $12.50.... that will put us around $40 a gallon.... hmmmmm
Maybe that's not such a good buy :-? :-? ::) ;D

How much it costs depends on where in the US, and even your stae, you're standing when you buy it
Rotella at WM in Austin or Houston costs less than it does in bitty little Columbus

Yeah, and I paid higher prices for gasoline in Odessa, where they made it. I'd see it all the time when I was traveling around .
I don't understand oil at five bucks a quart, like when oil was ninety.
