Ah yes, I've seen this before...a mod to make the adjuster, well, adjustable.  It's a neat idea, except you still need to remove the cover to get at it.  A Versy seems simpler to me.

When the system is installed, it must be adjusted (Important)

For this purpose, the lower screw is only finger tight, the clamps
must clean every where. Then the bottom of the must with a screwdriver
Slot (yellow arrow) are so far displaced by the tensioner 3 teeth popping, which is quite important otherwise the timing chain is too tightly stretched.

IMPORTANT
WARNING: When installing the clutch cage, ensure the Drive pin for the oil pump gear is in place and the gear is in the right orientation.
Failure to do so will result in the loss of oil pressure.

Verslagen,

WOW,

I am amazed how you picked up on this right away. Since I couldn't read the German, I suspected it was a gadget for adjusting the position of the tensioner.

So it is another answer to the cam chain tensioner problem, but appears to be a whole lot more complicated than your fix.

Thank you for clearing it up.

It is way too easy to get the old pump drive gear wrong . Pay close attention,, the teeth will appear to be engaged, even when it's wrong.

Jesus. These instructions are a work of art compared to the Ryca ones that I've been staring at the last couple weeks in anticipation of what I will need to be do to the bike. I'm pretty sure I could follow these better even without the translation.

This looks like an elegant solution but is it an improvement over  verslagen's idea?

What does everybody else think?

Has the inventor produced any kits, it would be quite job to fabricate.

Suzuki should have produced something similar as standard equipment.
