Title: Lectron Carburetor?
Post by Coaxial on 04/09/15 at 07:17:48

So I joined "Suzuki LS Savage/ S40 Project" Facebook group.

I noticed one of the post that caught my eye. They had a different carburetor. Lectron 38mm Powerjet Carburetor

The only thing I found about that particular carb on this forum is this:

That looks exactly like the Power Jet on a Lectron carburetor. Those use a Mikuni jet. The Lectron works very well with lots of top end, low end, and everything in between.

The one you are showing could work very well.

Has anyone else tried this?

Also not to mention this EFI kit that was mentioned:

No Lectron Carbs on this forum that I have seen.  Lectron carbs have been around a long time, I remember seeing their display at the Cincinnati Motorcycle Dealer Convention back in the 1980's.

Looks like he has also tapped in an oil pressure sender in the head.

Most of use shy away from adding fuel injection, as we are after simple, easy to work on motorcycles.

A while back I tried to find a reason that some carbs have flat slides and some are round...I couldn't find anything that claimed either one performed better.  The best reason I saw for them is the carb can be shorter - and on engines like Harley's the carb doesn't stick out the side of the engine so far.

Hey, that's my carburetor and my bike :-) I bought this carburetor and engine parts of http://stores.ebay.com/windsorcycles
He who sold me these parts have tested this out on his own bike "Super Thumper 700cc" ( His username on Suzukisavage.com: "Super Thumper")

This carburetor works very well on my bike, my bike also has some modifications, it is now on 666cc +++

Sign in to my fasebook page and see more pictures of this bike and parts I've used: https://www.facebook.com/groups/suzukisavageproject/

The Lectron and the Edelbrock Quick Silver function basically the same way.
