Title: 2015 S40's
Post by savskad on 10/27/14 at 09:15:05

This may be old news, but I had been waiting for the 2015 S40's to come out hoping they would have new colors this time around. They delivered! Not sure how to feel about it though, because they're single color. Unlike the most recent past few years they had the orange/black and teal/white color scheme two-tone designs (which I thought they did a darn good job at). Anyways, have a look for yourselves tell me what you think.

They may have had these colors before, not entirely sure

So.  Did they photoshop the colors in....or is there some rule about what location the valve stems should be when you photograph a bike? ::)

hahaha! Japanese love big fat stock mufflers. Even a sleek bike like a GSXR and they stick this awful looking can on it.

Do you think it has to do with "noise" requirements?

Yep....it is kind of ironic that the bikes (and cars and trucks) have to meet noise requirements and a portion of the purchase price goes toward the effective muffler - then the new owners take it off and put something tiny, cheap and loud.....or something really expensive and loud.

You'd think it would be an easy to replicate position if it was.
But simply hidden would be the best.

Hence the GSXR's wheel positioning. Models are getting a bad rap for photo-shopping, Suzuki wouldn't dare risk their "baby" getting accused of being photoshopped.  ;D

I never will understand graphics and designers.

On the top of the bike is says........UKI.

Are you supposed to buy pants that have  SUZ written on the side of them?

(But then they spelled out SUZUKI on the bottom of the bike).

They have to have the valve stems balanced perfectly, in order to make the bikes balance without sidestands...
:-?...

So Suzuki should go to school on what Chevy did in 1969 with the 302 Z28, ship a performance exhaust in the trunk. Better yet, if they throw a whole S40 in the trunk of a restored Z28, they could sell a bunch of them. Listening, Suzuki?

Good Hunting

But the S40 has a 40lb can on one side.

Must be some heavy valve stems...

I typed "360 2015 GSXR 1000" into google and one of the picture that came up was this...

Looks like they didn't like the SUZ. But were attached to UKI. hahaha

The bazooka has never killed anyone no matter how many times it's been fired in anger. Similar colours were used in the early mid 2000s. It's cheaper than the more attractive two tones.

Don't they know that in advertising the number one rule is to make the sponsor's name prominent and bold? Are they ashamed of themselves?

``They may have had these colors before, not entirely sure``

Kind of hard to tell for sure from the photos, but my 06 looks like it's the same red.

The two pictures of the S40's were almost certainly photo-shopped copies of each other.
Look at details such as the exact same alignment of spokes, identical reflections
on chrome pieces, highlights, mirror alignments, control cables, ground shadows, etc.
There would have been at least minor variations in those details if two different bikes were posed for the photos.

No!,.. it can't be so!... ;D...

Many times, they will paint a bike green and then the PhotoShop corrections can resaturate and hue the colors without any quality loss. Most car brochures do this. 99% of the time when you see a car in motion in a print ad, it is parked and they put motion and radial blur effects in the pic. I teach my students how to make a stationary car look like it's hitting warp speed. 8-)
