Anybody up for a ride this weekend?  Looks like we got another nice couple of days coming.....this won't last!  Mornings will be cool....afternoons will be perfect.

If the bike is out of the shop, count me in.

Timing sucks guys! I have Saturday off for a change......and have broken toes on my right foot! No riding for me for a while >:(.

Hope you enjoy and do an extra mile or two for me!

Larry

Just heard from the shop and they are mounting the tires now. I should be able to pick it up later today so it looks like I am both able and willing. It think GRB chimed in on the other post saying he was going to Augusta on Saturday. Maybe we can all meet there for lunch? I am assuming Saturday is ok with you, Dave.

Good hunting

Yep....Saturday will work.  I need to do a few hours work in the morning - but I can play once that is done.

And the weather will be warm enough to bring the LS650 Cafe bike!

I will be coming from the north tomorrow morning. I'm riding with the previous owner on her Honda, and her husband in his "motorcycle with doors" Miata.

Well it will be around 46 degrees at 8:30 when you are at Fuel drinking coffee......and it is supposed to be 70 degrees in the afternoon.

Do you want to meet in Augusta for lunch.....or brunch?

My apology but a commitment came up that I just can't avoid. I will need to beg off for tomorrows ride. And me with a new set of tires too....oh, well.

Well, my Saturday morning work at the office took a lot longer than I thought, and I did not leave the office until about 1:15.  I got home and on the bike around 2:30.  I rode out to Rabbit Hash and had a BBQ sandwich and a spicy Ginger Ale.  I then rode back on KY536 to 177 and went to Butler, KY, then rode east over to Route 10 and went through Peach Grove and on up to Alexandria on Route 10.....then headed home.  I went about 100 miles I suppose.

Last night I was able to ride out Milford, OH to drop off the LED brake light bulb I bought for a friend to use in his BMW....any excuse to ride is a good one!

And now.....the rain has started and the 70 degree weather is going to start dropping, and my phone weather forecast overnight on Saturday is 28 degrees with a daytime high of 48!

It was a good summer.........hate to see it go!

Dave,
Glad you made it out on the road. I did not get a chance to ride Saturday. The daughter called Friday morning to tell me a make up t-ball game and awards ceremony (everybody gets a trophy) had been rescheduled for Saturday at 1pm. The grandson outranks riding so I canceled.

Sunday was a glorious day and I was able to spend four hours breaking in the new tires riding down 68 to Harrodsburg then over to Lebanon through Perryville and then back home through Danville. I think the 22 year old Wing is going to do just fine.

I plan on attending a meeting of the local GWRRA Chapter tonight to see what that is all about. The GWRRA is the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. Supposedly over 70,000 members and all sorts of activities and patches, and color matched shirts and vests to sew on even more patches. It may just be some shady pyramid sales scheme to sell vests and patches. Oh, and don't forget the chrome, about 70 pounds of chrome per bike seems to be the average aftermarket add on for a Wing. But if I can resist the call of the bling and fly a bit under the radar and participate in some of the safety classes and do a poker run or two every now and then, it may be worth the $50 a year to join. We will see. 8-)

Two of my buddies and I had a great ride here in North Central Ohio Monday afternoon.
Temps were in the low 70's with bright sunshine.
We rode mostly country roads through farm lands and woodlands for about 4 hours.
The last of the fall colors on the trees reminded us that riding season is just about over up here.
When I got home I changed the oil and topped off the tank with non-alcohol fuel and stabilizer.
That may have been our last ride of the season.
So sad ....

We ended up heading back to the northeast of Cincy, around Milford. It was pretty cold when we started around 8:30, but turned into a beautiful day. I was able to stretch her legs, and turn in my first 100 mile ride.

Bummer....by then it's cold, dark, and the roadways are lined with deer!

I should have ridden to work. Not sure how many more chances I'll have.
