SO,

Today I put the exhaust back on, changed the spark plug to Denso Iridium, Added electrical leads for my leds mounted under the tank, and changed out the petcock.

Cranked right up and took a ride a couple of miles down to the store and I think she's running better than ever  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Thanks for the help!

Fall weather just around the corner, I'm sure you'll get a lot more rides in soon  ;)

So, it has been two days and a few hundred miles commuting. Thus far my engine has not exploded into shrapnel and I cannot detect any oil leaks. Is it safe to assume that I put the oil filter in correctly?

Might as well consider it safe... worrying's no fun... ;)...

Now that you have reason to believe it's not gonna Grenade on ya,mite as well tidy up those hose clamps. T-Clamps are much better looking,or just rotate and trim them.

I used a really nice t-clamp on the actual muffler/header joint. I'll take your advice and trim the hose clamps.

I'd trim kinda close then loosen and rotate so the band is all you see. It'll make a bigger difference than you think.
