If possible, when you open the Clutch Cover,
and check, or install a new CCT.
Can you just check one more thing, and report back here.

Reason is, I don't know. Lets see what you have.

The gear, that drives the oil pump.
is on the very bottom, just under the clutch basket.
You can see about 1/2 of it.

If you have the time, just put you fingers on it,
and see if you can move it.
In and out,  side to side,
And just a WAG of the Approx distance.

Thanks

Waiting for responses from what other people have seen/felt.

I believe I am going to put in the extended CCT in,
as the ‘oil gear’,  ’seems’, like the culprit of the noise.
But for the life of me, I can NOT ‘disengage’ it,
(so it will not pump oil, with the parts all in place).
With and without the aid of, 'amber fluid'.

So, thinking of putting it back together.
with, ‘proper  oil’, and if it is still noisy, live with it.
Or sell it.

(But selling it, would be hard, because it is,
RED) ;D

Mine will go 1mm front to back. It seems to turn left or right about that much as well but I wouldn't call it side to side movement, just space between the teeth. As a disclaimer you should know that I have just reinstalled the clutch basket and peripherals as a newbie so if you assume this to be within some sort of spec you do so at your own peril. This thing may explode the first time I go to start it.
