Welcome.  This is a real good place with good folks.

Rubber side down  -  mechanical questions
Marketplace  -  to buy or sell
Cafe  -  pretty much anything
Tall Table  -  anything of a political nature

http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1181745927  -  This is a good starting place for tech related stuff.  Best regards.

Welcome and am a Washingtonian as well.
Their are a few of us here and we all enjoy
riding our bikes.
We will hopefully all get to meet up sometime
this year.. Again welcome to a great forum.
You will discover their are a lot of wonderful,
smart and intelligent people here that can and will
help you with any questions concerning the bike.
Again welcome and don't forget to post pics of your
bike and yourself. We enjoy reading of your rides and
looking at pics as well.. Hugs.. :) kim

WA native here who got smart and moved away.  ;)

Used to ride mine to work all the time, from Buckley to Auburn, Tukwila or Fife. As long as you steer clear of T-46, Harbor Island and West Marginal Way, you couldn't have picked much better for Seattle use. Watch out for the container haulers, they really can't see you...

Lot's of decent rides in your area. If you like socializing, Taco Tuesdays and/or Taco Thursdays at Alki, Royal Bear in Pacific, Yella Beak in Enumclaw or the City Hall Saloon in Cumberland (between Enumclaw and Black Diamond) are fun. The road to the Carbon River entrance to Mt Rainier is a blast, watch out for ELK and BEARS at Wilkeson and Carbonado. Leavenworth by motorcycle is a treat, go I-90 and US-97 for one leg, US-2 for the other. The Highland Games in Graham and Enumclaw are nice day trips. So is the Octoberfest in Enumclaw.

Our friend who helps on our farm is Wallingford-Ballard born and raised. He rode out there from the early 70s through 2011. I'm Spanaway-Graham raised, rode out there from 87-94 and again from 05-early 2011. Blew out my lumbar spine in 02 or I'd have been riding out there from late 01... Feel free to bounce any ride ideas off either of us.

Quite a few WA/OR Savage riders, both sides of the "rock pile"... er, "Crack Head" mountain range...  ;D

Nice build!  Works for me!

Title: Re: PICTURES ARE HERE

Hmm... I liked the "Kawazuki" version best... kind of a "ZRX1200 and a Rubble (Rebel)250 had a love child" theme.

Did the city ever fix all the potholes on Alki? I broke the front I-beam axle on a one ton truck there... Cracked the kingpin eye, and I wasn't even speeding.  :o

If you ever make it down to "roached out pieces of monkey shi*", er, Bent Bike, down in Auburn, flip the bald guy the finger and tell him Jeff and Doug said to F-Off...  ;)

Nope holes still here. :)  they will never fix them.

I Love it.  I did like the green tank, but the Chrome looks awesome too.

I would swap out to a smaller EarthX type battery and mount it on the swing arm. open up the center there and hide that big ugly battery.

Post by Smokestack on 04/18/14 at 15:54:43

Lookin' good so far, man.  Personally, I agree with downsizing the battery, but I'd also chop off the two seat "horns" on the back of the frame. Those were the first things I cut off on mine, and I couldn't be happier. Looks a lot cleaner with a solo seat.

Are you running a remote cylinder or something for the front brake or did you disconnect it and ditch the lever to clean up the bars? I can't tell exactly from the pics, but if its not connected, I say ditch the front disc altogether. Otherwise its just dead weight, and spool hubs ooze cool.

I live out on Whidbey Island, but I neve get outta second  :D I live on clams, crabs, and blackberries. I can often be found riding my bike on hot summer days in my fishnet speedos. I really am a savage!

I'll try and get some pictures up as soon as I can. I had a thread in here somewhere, but I can't seem to find it....

O cool that would be awesome

Lets see if this works.... New computer.

Never mind the signal brackets; they're gonna be changed up this year. You can get a solo seat to sit pretty tight to the frame if you lose the horns.

francescorogano, good looking bike! but how was your battery mounted in those later pictures? Looks like its just sitting there.

It wasn't mounted yet  ;D

Francescorogano, awesome looking bike. I like the progression. I'm heading in a similar direction, but just getting started. Like the green tank but the stainless is cool too. Could you give us a breakdown of some of Your mods, ie parts like those bars, exhaust, air filter setup, etc.

Being honest - Im not a big fan of what you did with the black matte paint on the frame and rear hub, and I think it looks a little messy overal.. But I see what style you are going for  :) I do like the tank and handlebars though
