Title: rear wheel wheel doesn't turn
Post by Borracho on 03/16/13 at 18:31:41

I just installed new tires. Now the rear wheel does not turn. I have it up on the stand, in neutral. Proper tension on the belt. Belt guard off. Wheel is aligned on the tensioner marks, centered good in the fender.

When I put the wheel on, I just fit the pulley on the left and the drum brake on the right.

When I took it off stand, it was really hard to roll the bike, even with the clutch pulled in.

What did I do wrong?

Check the brake adjuster. Did you swap the wheel spacers side for side? One is 70mm long, one is 35mm long, get them in wrong and she'll lock up tighter than a nun's knees...  ::)

there's a fat spacer and the thin spacer, the fat one goes on the left.

update: I rechecked everything- it was the front pulley cover binding up the belt, thus making it hard to turn the wheel.

You were dating the wrong nun.
