Title: Vipor Speedo Question
Post by ColoS40Girl on 12/02/12 at 18:15:10

I have the Vipor by Trail Tech installed but now I have to calibrate it to my bike and fix the mileage to match what is on my OEM speedometer.  How do I accomplish this? Thanks!

The very most accurate wheel based method is to use 10 miles worth or more of interstate mile markers and this calculator to get a WS (wheel size) value that is very very accurate.   This method is actually MORE accurate than the Savage speedo.

I don't know if your model of the Vapor uses WS values like the Sigma and the other bike type speedos do, but the tool is out there if it does.

If your model of Vapor only uses GPS to do the trick, then you'll have to follow their instructions.

This is what your looking for to set the odometer to your current odometer

http://www.thumpertalk.com/topic/716816-vapor-odo-reset/

you need to hit the reset button on the back of the vapor once your done to undo programming mode when  you go into the settings mode.

you can also mark your tire and mark the ground and go 1 full revolution and mark the ground again, the distance between marks is the circumference of your tire for distance calibration
