Driving my new to me 95 Savage I saw a small fuel drip in the garage. It comes down a wire, not the fuel line to the carb. Does not appear as a petcock issue as this only is seen after filling up the tank and running. Thinking the old tank has a small leak only noticed after filling up the tank most the way.

I pulled the tank today and saw a decent amount of rust in it. The surprise was the red straw I saw in there. It is the hose you get from carb cleaner for the nozzle, just sitting next to the baffle in the tank. Due to this discovery, I am glad I chased down a replacement tank on eBay.

Agreed, a replacement will amount to less headaches in the end most likely. :-/

Price compare a Kreem tank seal kit vs that new gas tank and paint job.

Epoxy based tank seal kits are available by several folks and they would all work well in that rusted corner sealing scenario.

I got a tank off of eBay for a good price. It has a favorable stock paint job and was dent and rust free. I also have a Raptor petcock waiting to go on with it.

If a guy was to build a fiberglass tank, would Kreem or one of the epoxy kits seal the tank well enough so that the alcohol in the gas would not attack the resin?

Fiberglass tanks are being coated regularly - as the ethanol does dissolve the fiberglass and result in the glass fibers coming loose and clogging up the fuel systems. Boat owners are especially busy doing this as a large number of boats have the fuel tanks molded into the fiberglass boats.

I have used POR15 fuel system sealer and it works better than the others I have used. The website for the tank sealer does not mention using it on fiberglass tanks - but in their FAQ section they claim POR15 works great on fiberglass. If you decide to use POR15.....that would be a good question to ask them before placing your order. You might also search for some boat forums to see what they recommend.
