Post by kennycreed on 10/04/12 at 23:33:55

Hi all, have reached a stage now where the years have caught up on me,and between my knees and back am having a hell of a job cleaning the wheels and spokes, would anyone know what alloy wheels will fit the LS. hoping to get a pair of them to do away with thon dam spokes, they look good, but there doing my knees  back and my head in trying to keep them clean, some times when am down there am wondering if it's the bike or me thats creaking,, any sugestions will be welcome

Original posts from the thread he linked with pictures restored:

I just got the front wheel done, and took it for a short ride. The swap was mostly straight foward. Took a little off the spacers, had the O.D. of the rotor turned down, and spaced the caliper 5.5mm. I'll wait a week or so till I start on the rear, and it's looking like I'm gonna do a chain conversion, just to make the swap a little easier, unless once I get started, I find adapting the pulley won't be too involved.

The one I'm useing is a 16". I'll be runing a 130 so I can put my saddle bag supports back on. Just for kicks I might put a Harley brand dunlop on it, plus Harley riders are getting 12,000-plus miles on em.

Oh, you can do that?  I ride.  I don't clean.  My bike is lucky to get hosed off a couple times a year and occasionally get the bug spatters removed.

Different strokes for different folks.
