I am Being offered to buy the complete engine and tranny package but the head and starter of a 07. Will this bolt on on my dads 87. the 87 has 4 speed and 2007 has 5 speed, that's why i want get it, He is asking 200 for everything. is it worth doing. also did the 07 come with rear disc break if they did will it bolt on my dads and is it work it

Rear brake is a drum, all years,
I think youll need the electronics & wiring harness to make that engine work in your bike.
$200.00 is a Steal,,

yah he said with wiring 250 and it has just under 3000 Miles. What kind of gain I expect from this?

You not getting the head or starter?

Gain? minimal,, if your engine is healthy, theres no reason to do it.
