Title: Live Map of Members / Guests Post by the mysterious johnh on 06/27/12 at 17:52:59 I have built a *LIVE* users map showing current users online. It has 'Map | Satellite' views as well as 'Street View' by dragging and placing the yellow icon on a zoomed in section of the map. Depending on the link you chose, if you click on a marker you will either see the 'Username' or 'Guest'. Google does that sometimes even though I keep changing it to Port Aransas. San Marcos is quite a ride from my little island, which is due east of Corpus Christi. 8-) |

These type of things are based strictly off of the IP address, and the database that it looks it up from. Most of them just look to see what ISP location that your IP is leased to, hence the possibility of your town being listed wrong. Some do dig deeper but those are few and far between. |

It works off of the IP address given by your ISP for location, So it can be off depending on where your ISP registers their IP allocations. Be thankful your not with AOL or depending on when you log on at times it could show you as being on the other side of the country. R.F. |

If anyone is interested, zoom the map in over my name until you can read the street names. Go north to where you see Deadfall Rd, McQuiston Rd. My place start there and goes north past Brunswick Rd and east to the 2nd pond you see where the road became Dunlop Orphanage Rd. Where it says Lancaster Place is the housing development that used to be our cow pasture. The big triangular pond you see off McQuiston Rd is my fishing/swimming hole, it's really as big as the scale shows, 2 acres. Cool trick John, thanks. |

Since I was online (obviously), I checked on myself, and the map had me listed as being in Central, SC, when in actuality, I live in Liberty, SC. Not far from Central, but not correct. Can this be changed? |

That lake is probably in the middle of my Zip code? Just for fun guys.. you should now how much one can get to know by clicking on a swedish internet map!! One get to know who is registerd living there.. exept those 15 years or younger! All there cars and motorcycles, there pets, (cats and dogs), (they have to be registred/have a chip)! For 1-3 dollars I can get to look at there last 3 years tax declaration! And I can search for free.. who in my area that convicted of crime, but to look at that conviction, I have to pay 1-3 dollars! In anyway.. just to scare US citicens, we do have this transparency laws.. everything about you is public! One cant hide! On top of that.. we dont have any trespasing laws.. instead we have "freedom of roam laws", for public and private property/land! As a biker, I know the rules, no motor veichles in natur, private or public.. exept snowmobiles, on special marked lanes in our northern parts! |
