Title: Clock
Post by BobWd on 06/19/12 at 10:24:46

I found this at Target. 2 holes & 2 zip-ties later, this is what I got. Left side is a compass, in the middle is a digital clock and on the right is a thermometer.

How much was that little puppy?  That's kinda cool.  I have a thermometer, and I can hit a button (4 times) and it will show the time, and have looked at multiple replacements, but never found anything else I liked.

It was less than $20.00.

Hmm, well this is indeed does look kind of cool...it 'might' be on the very peripheral of accuracy, however the clock should be right on the time. The compass is maybe okay if you can adjust it's magnetic anomalies somewhat accurately.

For our purposes though,  I think the unit will be just fine...it does indeed look cool even if it's a little off. The thermometer, if it's in direct sunlight...will read very HOT. But I think you will know that if it really is that hot.

All in all I would say it's a good price for the item.  :D

Have you guys heard of any other cheap solutions for displaying a clock on a bike?

Get a cheap watch with leather band and put it around your Brake fluid reservoir.

I have one of these clipped to the right side mirror. I originally bought it to clip to my backpack for when I go hiking. Costs about $20.

This is a generic picture I found on google.
I got something like this at Vatozone for 99 cents. It was an impulse buy at the counter. Came with self adhesive velcro. I had it on my bike for 3 or 4 years. It has been rained on a couple of times and still worked. It survived 2 crashes and then the display just went half dead so I hucked it.
I like the first poster's gauge cluster. Might have to stop at Target on the way home.
