Title: Fuel tank leak at petcock Post by krolik on 08/27/11 at 19:30:02 I've been woking on a Ryca conversion, and have everything assembled and installed but the fuel petcock. I put that in today and put about a 1/4 gallon of gas in and there was a leak at the fuel petcock, from around the bolts. It was a steady drip from the leak. I drained the tank and removed the petcock. There was some small bits of corrosion on the petcock, which I cleaned off, and the rubber o-ring gasket was whole. I had the tank painted when I got it back from Ryca, so the bottom of the tank is smooth. Is there another gasket that goes between the petcock and the tank or is it just the o-ring in the petcock? Any other ideas on how to get the tank to seal? I just saw the link on Raptor petcocks, would that help? |

Do you have washers on the petcock bolts? I think you're supposed to have sealing washers. |
