Title: fork brace Post by royblueboy on 08/27/11 at 12:06:07 just to let everyone know that i decided on the TKat. ordered on the 18th by snail mail, received it on the 25th. easy install and it does make a difference at low speeds. thanks for the advice. |

I don't know about high speeds, my hi speed is about 55mph. to anyone doing this, you can remove the shields with a block of wood and a hammer. just tap it up to get it loose then you can cut with dikes. |

I don't think you'll be able to reuse the old shields with Tkat on. If I ever take the fork off, then that would be a good time to fit some fork boots. I don't think they will be too secure because Tkat has no lip to hold the end of the boot in place. Anything that keeps the slides cleaner must be good for the seals so shields or boots are good. |
