A couple of weeks ago there was a thread about making your own forward controls..anyone know where it went??

This might help, I am pretty new here and realized when you do a search it default only searches the last week of posts.  There is a drop down box to change that on the search screen.

My first few days were frustrating not finding anything I searched for because of that.

This might be the one that you were talking about. (from the Tech section)

Make your own forward controls (http://suzukisavage.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?board=tech;action=display;num=1115652141)

Also, both EdL and Routy make a kit that you can buy extending them either 4" or 6" (Their links are at the top of the page in the Marketplace

the kickstand is from a honda rebel cut to length .welded bracket to frame.stand tucks in under frame.is invisible when up. for the forward controls you have to cut engine mount bolts back .reroute brake cable to get more length  .mod a little tricky and requires some welding.i'll try upload more pics of brake side.
