Title: Surprise money!
Post by MotoBuddha on 02/20/11 at 15:04:20

A couple of years ago I did a bunch of T-shirt designs and opened a Cafe Press shop. I used to check every day to see if I'd sold anything. I checked less and less as it became apparent I wasn't selling much. I should have closed the shop to keep from paying "rent," but the whole thing just slipped my mind.

Yesterday I got a check from Cafe Press for $155.25. Surprise.

I wondered what was selling, but they only show the past three months. Oh well, something's selling.

Moto -

Congrats, and good for you.

In the future, check often and see what's selling so you can refine your offerings to what the market wants.

I love to see a budding business person start to see some success, no matter how modest at the beginning.

In Hollywood or Nashville it's called "Mailbox Money" -- royalties or residuals that just show up in your mailbox.

Enjoy!

Motobuddha, nice to hear you got some return on your investment.
Here's hoping it is a start of a great fortune for you.
What kind of designs do you do?
Always places a smile on my face to get money in
the mail, instead of someone wanting it.. ;) kim

I'm all about saving money now. I saved nearly $30,000 this morning by not buying a new car.

Buddha, $155 is 50 gallons of gas. (And a quart of oil) That's 2500 miles on a Savage. You could go visit lots of us on here.  :D
