Title: Cop Murders Unarmed Motorcyclist Reaching for Cig
Post by Stimpy - FSO on 01/12/11 at 12:17:22

SO...ANGRY    >:(

(Not the most recent of stories but it's on the news again
because of a wrongful death lawsuit against Nassau P.D.)

what the F.... is happening here?!  jeez, this could be ANY of us,
of our brothers, parents, children, neighbors or strangers, doesn't
matter who, this police/military madness simply cannot be allowed
to continue; let your congressperson know your disgust!
Sadly there are dozens of similar cases in EVERY state.

Awareness, respect and unity are the key, let us all focus on the
things that make us similar and equal and not on the trivial things
that segregate us like age, sex, race, religion, class, etc as this
sick and fake corporate media-generated status quo tells us to do.

R.I.P. Cruiserman, strenght to his family and friends.

The dash-cam video is available here... (Graphic Warning)...

Looks to me like the ride-along civilian got paranoid and caused the cop to overreact...

Sergeant Howard J. Plouff,
Sergeant Mickey Gray Hutchens
Reserve Sergeant James Milton Johnson
These three Law Enforcement Officers's have been gunned down in the last 10 years in the county I live in and the county my wife works for. My wife is a Deputy Sherriff. If memory serves me correct no innocent civilians have been shot or killed in the last 10 years my wife has worked for the county. My wife has been fired upon and had her throat slashed in the line of duty. I realise every morning that my wife leaves for work I may never see her again. There are two sides to every story. I have learned enough about police work to know that in the video the officer in question used bad judgement and made several mistakes. Unless there is some underlying circumstance the video doesnt show, that officer in question should be looking for another job. Whatever caused the officer to over react, it is a tragedy. My condolences go out to the young mans friends and family. Cops are human and in that split second they have to make a life or death decision, every now and then one of them screws up. Its a fact of life, not a conspiracy.

A bloody shame for all concerned any way you look at it.
I was just wondering Mike if a more experienced cop like Your lovely wife would have used a little more restaint,Please give her my best regards ,and please be careful.    Mick

Thanks Mick, we'll never know what really happened. Several nights a week Jen talks about her job, incidents and close calls, and the training she has recieved. I listen because I care. The cop could be a rookie, as Bot suggested the passenger didnt help, the biker could have been high and not responded properly to the  officers commands. What ever happened I'm sorry for the officer and the bikers friends and family. Knowing Jen like I do if she had to take the guy down unless she unmistakenly seen a firearm (not a flash) she would have went for her Taser. She has almost 20 years of law enforcement experience. She just recieved an Advanced Law Enforcement Degree from the state of NC signed by NC Attorney General Roy Cooper. It takes the officers who do qualify for the degree almost a lifetime to get it. It takes several hundred hours of advanced training. Over 50% of the officers Jen works with ride motorcycles, I would say the local force does not discriminate when it comes to bikers. Ever heard of The Blue Knights? Once again its a bad tragedy, we'll probably never know all the details, but most Cops arent the bad guys we often make them out to be.
