if you are speaking about the tall table post. i was the one who yanked it once i saw the tall table was still around.
there was no need for it after the table returned.

Actually it had nothing to do with the tall table ,but someone pulled my post called tall table .
While I am here who pulled the origional Tall Table the one with thousands of responses ?
It would have been polite to pull the old stuff and leave the newer stuff
,but to pull the whole thing while we are going back and forth on it was down right rude

I agree, Mick.  While the Tall Table had over 350 pages, I suppose it was taking up a lot of storage capacity.  But as you wisely noted, a mod could simply have gone back and yanked the really old stuff from more than a year ago, and left the recent posts.

But, whoever pulled it didn't care - he simply has his own agenda to push.

Jerry, that is exactly what did happen.   Whole thing took less than 2 minutes to do from start to finish.

However it is an oddity of the internet and windows that when you look at something on line (say go to a part of a site) an image of that particular session is stored in your computer and you work from that image until you leave it and replace it with another.

So, those that tuned in during that 2 minutes and captured an image on their computer that had Tall Table down in the normal flow of the list (this happens when you split it) and didn't go anywhere else for a while they saw the thing as missing from the top during that period of time.

Which is why nobody else saw what you saw -- it was all a matter of timing of when you looked (and captured your current page image).

You are of course familiar with typing in a post and hitting enter and suddenly seeing 1-2 other posts pop up between where you were when you started typing and where your reply shows up?

Same sort of stuff.   You worked to an image while you were replying and found when you went back to the post that your image had been frozen while other stuff was going on.

This was not the whole issue -- a switch was flipped on the Tall Table thread that kept normal members from seeing the thread, Verslagen located this issue and fixed it and all is well ....

Granted, No Need for it. So, w/o a Need for it, it becomes
Meaningless
& No One will ost to it
It falls off the page

Its what Libertarians call
Free Market
Topics come & go.
When they have run their course or if they are introduced & are seen as irrelevant, No one dies. Its really cool the way the innernecks work.

Bang! Bang! Youre DEAD!

Noooo, actually, no one gets hurt, no matter what anyone says.

I've noticed people have been more American than usual lately. People are shooting down others, armed with others' quotes.

I'm just tying random letters. I don't intend any real meaning (as opposed to fake meaning - hahaah).
