Title: Happy Festivus for the rest of you
Post by photojoe on 12/23/10 at 19:31:40

Festivus is celebrated each year on December 23rd, so Happy Festivus to all of you who do not celebrate Christmas. I hope you all had fun airing your grievances :)

I loved the show "Seinfeld" but every member of the cast is jewish,so you could call it a jewish festivus.
I only celibrate New Years and my own or family birthdays.
You would think that Christmas would be a jewish celibration ,wasn't the late Jesus Christ jewish ?  ;)

Grinch, yeah that too.

Conversation between Shar and I a couple of minutes ago:
Shar: People sent us all of these cards, don't you think we should display them instead of throwing them in a pile (Joe's pile)?

Me: Do you really think that people put that much thought into these cards? I think they sit there with cards in one pile, addresses in another and stamps as the final step. Production line stuff.

Shar: But we don't see, or talk to a lot of these people all year, it's a way to stay in touch.

Me: If we don't see, or talk to most of these people all year, isn't that kind of a indication that we don't want to be in each others lives? The greeting card thing is obligatory, and was force fed to us we were kids. Hey, the Post Office benefits, the greeting card people benefit so it's all good aye.

Shar walks out of the room.

Once the blinders come off,, they really come off, dont they?

I got fewer than 5 cards this year. I only got One from someone I wish I had sent one to, I just dont usually do the whole Christmas card thing. I am not much into it, but I do enjoy & appreciate the one I got that had a pic of the sender on the front. I am a Little Bummed out tho, cuz the sender is standing out in front of his place, gettin an arm across the shoulders hug from Santa Hisself!

I have one Other complaint against the sender of this card that is right next to the keyboard, as I type.. He didnt get it to me early enough for me to get him one before Christmas,, now thats just RUDE boys & girls!
I thot there was an unwritten law that forbade sending a card to a socially retarded klutz ( that'd be me) without making sure it got there with enough time left to allow said S.R. Klutz to save face & get a card Back to the sender Before Christmas,, alas, all I can do is feel ashamed..

& ask myself Why didnt Santa come pose for a pic with me?
& give ME a Man Hug?

mixed emotions, sad AND pissed..

Just LOOk at the damage done by these blasted CARDS!!!
Discord in homes & all,, dang, ottsta outlaw the things..

LOL..

PS

Merry Daggumed Christmas,,

funny guy, wasn't it him that wanted to start a Manzeer business with Kramer ? And then very old and out of style raincoats, he added quite a bit to the show.
