that engine looks like my old gn. it was my daily driver, and a wedding present from my wife. it stayed stock to the end 98,000 miles over 21 years, 12 years as my daily rider on the l.a. superslab, will the canyons too. i loved racing from lax to long beach on hw1 through all the beach cities, around the big hill. sometimes at breakneck speeds, other times just cruzin. gawd i loved that motorcycle. it gave up it's fenders and a few other assorted pieces here and there on thumper. funny, it was called thumper also.

that guy did some serious work on his machine. i bought my savage sight unseen just to bob. i had my pick of the litter on what machine i wanted, went out and found the biggest thumper i could find.

great find perry :D good video, i was looking for a kick start thats one of the things that seperates the gn from the later savage.

I can dig the bike, for sure. Looks like the bars leave wrists at an unfun angle & I just wouldnt want to ride something w/o a front fender, or a rear.

I sure do lioke the front end,,& the exhaust is just way cool,,

Looks cool, nice little touches, but notice the cars rolling on by. He must be kind of slow.

I agree with J.O.G. on the handlebars. I like the style, but would probably change the geometry a little for comfort. And the exhaust is awesome, but I can see myself forgetting and catching it when I swung my leg over to get on! ;D
Very nice work though; just wish we could've heard it run!
