Bless his little heart, (the dogs) great picture mate, strange but any picture with a dog in it makes me smile, and feel good.
Come on mate you gotta get another one, even if they can only give you 10 to 15 years of company, but great company.

Brought a tear to my eye that pic ... thank you ... just a bit over a week ago we had my very best friend put down ... her name was Biscuit ... she was just a mutt (Beagle, Setter cross) but she gave us 13 1/2 years of unconditional love and loyalty ... in my 50 years on this Earth, I know of no human being who can boast the same. I will miss her and love her always ...

Sorry about Biscuit Perry, break your heart don't they, I love my "Missy" with all my heart. Hopefully you will adopt another Pup soon. I know it's tough just after you lose one, now that I'm retired I don't think I can go that long without a dog.

Animals love us they way we all want to be loved.  If only the people in our lives could do as much.

We are the people in the lives of others. How could we do it better?

I'm sorry Perry, I've lost 2 dogs so far this year. I had to take them to the vet and have them put down. Thats the most difficult drive I've ever had to make. Its a shame but its true, animals are more capable of true love than humans. There's a lot wrong with that statement.

Sorry to hear of your loss Perry!

my girlfriend and I work with a group that adopts out retired Greyhounds, started working with them just over a year now. The group I work with fosters dogs in homes as they come off the track as they transistion to home life. It never ceases to amaze me, they come off the track no knowing anything about home life stairs, hard floors, toys ect... My point.. last night we left off our foster Justin for his adoption today. We couldnt be there for it due to work but this one was especialy hard, we had him for 6 month which is much longer than they normally stay in a foster home. Its always hard letting go of a foster, but in this case we were quite attached to justin. sad to see him go but happy he is going to a good home!

Last year I brought my Newfy with me to the vet, her pain was coming on quickly and more strongly.  I sat on the floor in the exam room, Abby lay her head on my leg and i scratched behind her ear while the vet administered a shot.  One big sigh and she was gone, But she'll never be fogotten.  This year my cat of 14yrs made the same journey with me..darn depressing.
Maybe someday we'll get a new dog, my wife can't face it yet.  Amazing isn't it the strong love these "pets" bring out in us.  And it is only a pale reflection of the love they bring to us.

Dogs love you no matter what! I lost my great dane mix a few months ago. The whole time I was sitting in the waiting room I just keep telling myself that I cussed this over grown horse of a dog for almost 13 years. Once I got to see the vet I turned into a blubbering idiot :'(

Hey Bot,Milo looks beatiful,or handsome cause he is a boy.
He looks like a german shepheard mix,or as we used to call them in England "Alsations" I bet you spoiled him rotten,I know I do mine, I just cant help it,she is my baby.

PS, my youngest daughter said " if you have no room for an animal in your heart, you have no soul .

You guys are killing me....  make a gal cry at work?  For shame.

My old Miniature Pinscher....  he's black and tan, but the tan parts are really getting gray.  He will be 12 in December.   I've had him since he was 9 months old.  It will absolutely kill me when something happens to him.  I have a couple more young ones, but Jake is still top dog.  I never had any other dog as long as I've had Jake.
