Title: 24 mph WINDS
Post by LostArtist on 10/25/10 at 20:19:14

yep, I rode home in that, 26 miles, over a pretty big bridge, one of those bridges with a hump, that part was interstate and a bus passed me, worse wind came off the bus.

anyway, just thought I'd share my lil victory
8-)

24mph (38kph) winds are pert much an everyday breeze up here! You should try Ridin' across the Tilton Barrens with a 60mph on yer broadside ... that'll make the 'ol sphincter pucker!
Days that are flat calm are few n' far between up here ... if ya wait for one of those to take the Bike out, you don't Ride much ...

Once shot an archery tourney with cross winds bad enough that you aimed at the neighbors target to hit my own.
As long as it's not gusty, just lean into it.

Well I commend you, Lost.  Its 74° here today, but we are supposed to have winds 35-45 mph, so I opted not to ride today....

Here's a popular Riding area up here (Witless Bay Line; Route 13) that as you can see is pretty open country; if there's a stiff breeze you're gonna feel it! Ironically back in Aug. '06 on the Sunday morning I took this photo, it was pretty calm ... and a lovely morning for a Ride!

Just heard on the radio that National Geographic Traveler magazine listed Newfoundland's Avalon Peninsula as THE top Coastal destination in the world!
