Title: My Local Boozer...
Post by 23Skidoo on 10/11/10 at 10:40:03

A bit off topic but thought you guys over the pond may find my local pub of interest..

For years now good old traditional pubs in the UK have been on the decline either closing or being turned into horrible theme bars.. This is my local called The high Brooms Tavern and is a real spit and sawdust boozer.. A real mixture of people and the only trouble comes from the landlady who's as hard as nails... Would love to see a few state side drinking holes....

My best to those who have conquered their demons, too... ;)...

Looks like the kinda place I'd love to throw back a few coldies!!  But I don't go to the local places much anymore, cause smoking got banned everywhere indoors.  Even the bars.  Still have a couple that have outdoor seating areas, will try to get some pics....

Gotta love the British Pub culture. Watching a Brit show, a man was being defended in court. His solicitor said "He's a good husband and Father and supports his local." Yeah, a way of life over there. It's a shame that the younger generations won't experience it.

no need to drink and drive on the east side of the pond you can crawl home from the local pub...was in germany for three years  loved the local watering hole, tho the em club was cheaper and only a hundred yards from my rack...
where i live now am within 5 blocks of three different bars..
favorite is a brew pub nuttin like the hand crafted pint!!

I only drink when the Catholic church's are having communion, then I try to hit them all within a 50 mile radius of me.

Is that a shotgun or did someone try to put some camo on an artillery piece?
