Title: & since I had the seat off anyway Post by justin_o_guy2 on 09/29/10 at 06:14:02 I had a look at how I hooked up the start button under the seat. A tiny switch from a dead DVD player, still on a chunk of circuit board, wrapped in a couple of fingers off a rubber glove, tie wrapped to the frame & connected to the always hot but very small red wire under the seal, say, 18 to 20 gauge wire, skinny stuff, & then to the yellow w/ green stripe on the plug that feeds the decomp timer. Push that button , even with the key in your pocket & its gonna crank the motor over. Even in gear, no safety stuff is involved, so it makes for some troubleshooting help & Itll get ya home if the starter button gives up.
