Title: Savage Mod kit - Ryca CS!
Post by Thump05 on 08/29/10 at 19:22:48

Has anyone seen/owned/built one of these S40/Savage mods? http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2010/05/19/ryca-cs-1-suzuki-s40-cafe-conversion/ I think it is really sweet.  ;D Thinking about doing it myself.

From what I saw of it (he's local to me) it looked like a real nice build.
He was in the middle of moving so unfortunately wasn't in a condition to ride.

It's either one of these kit builds or a Royal Enfield Bullet in the not too distant future. My back has had enough of this cruiser thing. Has anyone besides CaseyLA (Casey is a a co-founder of Ryca - Ryan and Casey, rycamotors.com) put together a one of these kits?

Nope. All the other savage cafes are "make it fit" deals from what can be modded or made to work. At least as far as Ive ever seen. If you found another kit it'd probably be from some small shop in japan or europe and shipping/customs would make the ryca equally expensive or cheaper. Im not a cafe guy. I prefer bobbers and rats (real rats. the daily ridden, heavily modded, unwashed, dented, seepy bikes. Not the ones you intentionally destroy and strap road kill to for...whatever reason people do that.) If I were going to go for a cafe style Id go for the Ryca. Seriously...so sweet looking. Classic and modern at the same time.

Hey guys, we're gearing up for a production run of kits and bikes. We put together a 100% complete kit for the S40 cafe for $2995, a partial kit for $1795, and will be selling the complete bikes for $7995. We'll also try to stock individual parts as well.

Verslagen - come down to the shop when we have a new production bike available and give it a test ride! I'll try to get some of our customers to post some photos as well.

New website and info at rycamotors.com.

The engine and header are stock, yes. We'll be setting up complete bikes with your Jet Set.

I sent in my deposit last week. January can't come too soon.
