For one reason or another an old adage came to light,I gues it was one of my Mom's favorite.

We are not here to dream and drift,
we have work to do and loads to lift,
Shun not the work,face it, tis gods gift.

Mick I read those words 4 times before it hit me. Just being able to work is a blessing.When I have the Lupus flareups and cant get out of bed I lie there and think of the fun and constructive things I could be doing. On my good days I do my best to make the best of things and acomplish what I can. Just being able to work is a gift.

Whether it is working or doing any simple task. You don't realize sometimes how much you rely on a certain part of your body or skills until you lose the use of it..

Make the most of each day, with whatever part or parts enable yu to do so..Hugs to all.. kim :)

Talk is cheap, work produces value..and my two year journey into unemployment/retirement have convinced me that we should enable all who can- to work. ;)
For those of us raised methodist..it was Salvbation through Good Works. 8-)

dad used to volunteer at the church.
now he's a volunteer fire watcher.
