Title: One More Time
Post by gerald.hughes on 08/17/10 at 19:14:45

Like many of the riders on this site, I prefer the standard riding position to the custom.  I look at the bike below, and I know that the Savage would make one hell of a standard.  I have posted the picture once more in the hopes that someone might know who owns this bike.  I would give a lot to be able to contact this person.

I just came across another one.  It is a 97 GR Tempter.  Unfortunately, the bike is in China.  Anyone know anything about this bike?

Yes I have the Tempter picture in my screen saver folder and wish for it to be a US model every time I see it. Max

Suzuki ST400, as far as I know it is a Japan domestic only model.  Some have been Grey Market in NZ.  Japan also has the LS400, and as far as I know the engines fit both.  Means that the ST frame is ready, the engine for our LS650 is ready, all they have to do is produce the ST650 to the U.S..   ** Drool**

the ryca setup blows away any manufacturer set up IMO. Im not big fan of cafes or standards in general but the ryca...its just gorgeous.

This is what the Savage should have been offered as.

LIKE IT !!!  :)

Reminds me of the beautiful BMW R75/6 and earlier versions, they came in one color - black - with hand-made pinstriping  8-)

Now, this one is nice

http://i414.photobucket.com/albums/pp223/gerald_hughes/cafeCopying.jpg

but THIS ONE is, IMHO, much much better, much closer to the 1960's look & idea

http://savage.andruschak.net/tempter/Image2.jpg

Nptice the reduced rake angle, drum brake, 1 1/2 seat, long thin exhaust and clip-on handlebars.

Color scheme is also spot on !!!

YUMMY !!!  8-)
