In reality however this is just another marketing scam, trust me I majored in marketing; horrible thing to say but cancer sells. Remember when feeding the starving children in africa was 'in'? ...then aids, then parkinsons? I'm not a cold ba$tard but these darn people pocket 99.7% of the donations in 'administrative expenses'. * top 3 causes of breast cancer (according to my OB/Gyn dad and his oncologists buddies). - birth control pills / bovine hormones (all lactose products, meat, etc) - High fructose corn syrup - x-ray mammographie screening (risk-benefit doesn't even come close!) And the only men wearing that perfume are the ones riding in their TRUCKS with the Harley stickers on the back - they dont even own a bike. AND - when I won a pink HD t-shirt in a raffle - I refused it. I wouldnt wear one if they PAID me to. ** And Stimpy is correct - I also took marketing in college, and this is flat out a marketing ploy. If HD wants to donate to breast cancer research they can do so directly to the American Cancer Society - not thru clothing sales where THEY get 95% profit and the ACS gets 5%...if that. |
