Title: Re: Music Post by ArGaT on 07/19/10 at 07:28:32 Give me the RED Pill..... You know even without TV and the media we are brainwashed into acting a certain way from the very moment were born and we all do it even with out thinking...i.e what do you buy your daughter for her birthday or for xmas? Straight away you think of things like barbie dolls make up sets etc. and for boys its footballs and train sets. We have made a real effort to not do this with our daughter but its hard to come up with things when she sees all the other girls playing with afore mentioned toys. So she naturally wants those type of toys. Its hard to break the mold with out being laughed/stared at. How sad is that!! As for letting her watch tv its simple ..very little... not much is on tv that inspires me to let her watch it to be honest apart from the non violent cartoons ie fifi and fireman sam those sort of things. |
Title: Re: Music Post by bill67 on 07/19/10 at 08:04:54 I haven't heard any real music since Lawrence Welk went off the TV. |
Title: Re: Music Post by Stimpy on 07/19/10 at 11:39:30 And a woman who held a babe against her bosom said, "Speak to us of Children." And The Prophet said: Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday. You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far. Let your bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness; For even as he loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable. Khalil Gibran 1923 |

Nice, but how do I download them? It says I need a P2P BitTorrent client Vuze... what's that mean? And ArGaT, I'm not sure why you had to sit through that. I killed it after a few seconds... 8-) |
Title: Re: Music Post by Stimpy on 07/19/10 at 12:46:06 yes, it's an universal P2P (peer to peer) file. I use good ol' bitlord combined with peer guardian for full anonymity from Obama's goons just in case. Both free, tiny and safe programs. http://www.bitlord.com/BitLord_1.01.exe http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/peerguardian/pg2-050918-nt.exe?download Now, I DON'T promote pirating music, but with this particular group of songs you probably already own the license to all of them in the form of your original albums, cds or cassettes. After you install bitlord you can now download the whole block (should be done overnight) or once you download the torrent file and bitlord opens it, before you click "start download" you can unsellect all 500 songs and mark one-by-one only the ones you want (maximize this window to work easier). * Also in bitlord go to options, then preferences and adjust the "Global Max Upload Rate" to maybe 20 kb/s |
Title: Re: Music Post by babyhog on 07/19/10 at 13:06:56 Thanks Stimpy, I'll look into it. |
Title: Re: Music Post by ALfromN.H. on 07/19/10 at 15:27:35 I get some music from MP3Panda. you have to pay for what you download but the cost is about $1.50 per album and they have most any artist you can think of. And if you don't want to download an entire album, you can download whichever songs you want for .15 per song. I think it's a good site. https://www.mp3panda.com/ AL |
