Title: 110/80R=19 Post by MMRanch on 01/31/08 at 18:12:35 Has anybody tried a 110/80R-19 OR 110/80-19 on the front of a Savage yet? Last year I put a 145R-15 MICHELIN XZX(COKERTIRE.COM) on the back of my Savage. It looks really GOOD and its got right at 5000 miles on it and still looks New. I suppect two of those tires would wear out a NEW Bike. There is a Fly in the ointment though, the handling changed. Its took a while to get used the backend having so much GRIP. I have heard about not mixing Radials with Bias tires. Well now thats it time for a new front tire I am condaplating putting a Radial on the front. Its not as easy as it sounds. In 19 inch the radials are in 110/80's. Doing the math a 110/80 is a little shorter that a 100/90. Its the Width I'm unsure about. So befor I get over a $100. in a tire I doin't even know if I can use, HAS ANYONE TRIED RUNNING A 110/80 YET ? Or here is another thought "How about a fender that has more clearence"? Any feed back would be appreacated. Thanks from: MMRanch, Lynchburg TN. Doin't ya just Love this site ? |
