Title: Where to buy chrome???
Post by davedra on 01/21/07 at 00:50:12

Is there anyplace that I can buy chrome parts for my 1998 LS650??  Does the S40 have chrome parts available?  Can I put the S40 parts on my LS650?

No, no, and yes. ;)

No really, There are very few accessories, much less chrome accessories available for the Savage. eBay is a good place to start. If you have a place near you that dips chrome that would be the way to go. Just remove the part, have it dipped and put it back. Anything you do happen to find should fit both bikes though. Good Luck.

want more chrome?  buy a harley, thats why they have a second piston. to carry all that extra weight.  ;D

suzuki considers the savage a "starter" bike so they don't have many accessories available.  thats where being good with tools helps.  i've seen some pretty cool things people have built for their machines.

for example, i have matching chrome passenger, rider pegs and hand grips.  they were originally made as stunt pegs for bicycles, yet they were easy to adapt. so i get a matching set for a whopping fifty bucks.
