I was curious as to what the folks at Clymer had to say about their reported error concerning engine roatation during valve adjustments.

This is their reply:

Thank you for your e-mail. You are correct. The engine should be rotated counterclockwise as viewed from the left-hand side. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. How this occurred I cannot be sure as the book's original publication date was many years ago. We will take the steps required to fix it on the next printing. In addition, this typo also occurs in Chapter Four.

Well I just received the latest edition of Clymer's dated April 2008...guess what...it still says turn the engine "clockwise" when adjusting the valves. Maybe the original post was lost between the time of receiving it and the new publication. At least I hope so and that they just did not file 13 it.
