I am usually out riding almost every day regardless of the strike.
Today I rode in to the city around 8:30 am (25 degrees). Lots of people out walking, rollerblading, skateboarding and even using those small folding scooter things. The amount of people on the bicycles quadrupled. I cannot really say that the traffic at bridge crossings was horrible,- but at the same time I would shoot myself if I were driving a car today. Many walk the bridges. My roommate waited 2.5h outside train station to take 15 min ride in to the city. Those who are young are in OK spirits. There are cups everywhere. Strikers walk the circles at every subway entrance chanting few words. Because I use motorcycle I am not really affected by the strike. I wonder how I would feel if I had to walk while having a heart condition or some other problem with my lower extremities.
