Title: Re: Where do i adjust the timing on my 87' Post by jcbass7 on 10/03/05 at 15:16:37 shortly after writing that post.. i found out there isnt timing.. makes sense. My friends father suggested i change the timing since the bike was not running well and backfiring.. After riding it a bit more it is a bit smoother but still will not idle. T=I beleive the bike sat for atleast 4 years without running until now. |

The backfireing has been discussed in lenght on this forum. Use the search function . Drain the old gas, drain and clean the carburator, install new plug and you'r almost done. A 1987 does not have to be rejetted. Greetz Kropatchek ;D |

Title: Re: Where do i adjust the timing on my 87' Post by lancer on 10/04/05 at 09:40:54 No. Cam timing and ignition timing are seperate functions...although they do affect the running of the engine. Changing one can have a +/- affect on the other. |
