Despite the fact I think there are only two colors to paint a motorcycle, black and flat black,  I bet the electric blue would look b!tch!in'  with a couple of candy red highlights, e.g. red sprocket, fork lowers...  but I have no taste.   :P

Torque, I might be barking up the wrong tree or whatever, but there are colors known as pearlescent.
Basically, rather than the typical metallic or metalflake color, the pearlescent will give different hues and shades depending on the relation of bike, bystander and the sun.
Imagine, see the bike slowly change from metallic green to azure to white to yellow as you walk around it !!!

Maurizio
PS Fiat make it for their own economy compacts, so it has to exist

I saw a car go by a month or so ago that had that paint.  It was pretty d@mn cool... looked kinda like walking over an oil puddle... or something.  It was slick (no pun intended  :P).

Hmm, that definition sounds a lot like what I'd call iridescent.

Pearlescent, iridescent, whatever it's called, is a great idea.

But I also like electric blue.

:)

ELECTRIC BLUE

hey Torque
check out these sites

I love RED and since u are painting the frame, it will stand out more than electric or metal flake blue in my opinion.  Alsacorp sells pearls, as well as many different paints and additives as well as color changing chrome paint to basecoats and candy concentrates.
Trippin paint is thermochromatic paint that changes colors to temp increases.  Both are kinda expensive but isnt all quality paint?

Electric Blue

I don't think there's enough surface area to really make the "mystic" paints a good choice.

Electric blue with candy apple red trim and pinstripes. When you get the colors side by side they really look great.

8)I used to be all about colors other than black (my '03 LS is the blueish green color offered that year ...), until I saw Russ Mitchell of Exile Cycles work on "Biker Build-off" ... when it comes to "bobbed" Bikes, flat black is where it's at! Sure ya can jazz it up with a cool white flame job, some red trim, red rims and the like, but flat-black just says "Street"!!
Harley even offers a flat black ("black denim" they call it) paint job on their beautiful new 2006 FXD "Street Bob"!

I am an artist, if that means anything. And I think the green and the electric blue look the best.
If you are looking to be different, then I would go for the blue. If you want to mimic all the new custom models, then I would go with the green.

Red is my favorite color, but after saying that, my bike is black. If I had to repaint mine, it would be Red with blue/white accents. But I love the "gasoline" effect paint. don't know exactly what it is, saw it on a race car one night. WOW

I do not like green motorcycles.  Despite my penchant for black,  red and blue are both okay colors to paint bikes.  Here is one we were ragging on a little in a V* 1100 forum:

Agreed!

So, make a decision yet?  We're waitng with baited breath!

BTW, I was thinking blue paint with white pin or racing stripes might be pretty d@mn hot, too.

According to Mr.Garner, my HS, art instructor, 'black is NOT a color, it is the absents of'.  >:(
You were not allowed to have black paint or he would wreck your grade! ??? 8)

And when looking at it from that point of view (that of light's frequency spectrum) white is the combination of all colors.  However, when I mix all the colors of paint together it comes out looking more like turd and less like white.

Personally, what I think would look just awesome would be to make it appear to be woodgrain but with paint - not veneer.  That would rock.

My bud just bought a black (me-too) Superglide, another black Harley, ...wow.  ::)
Lost in a sea of HD black on bike night, yawn.

Put some cool COLOR on it man.
