Post by Susan on 08/25/05 at 15:13:10 Just in from an amazing ride and been thinking about how cool it would be to bottle that delicious, hard-to-describe feeling I get when I'm riding. For me, its something like: The wind, the road, the twisties Grinning all the way Feeling lucky to be me The light, the trees, the path Living in the moment Feeling free and so alive How does a great ride make you feel? |

In a cage, the destination is the purpose; on a bike, the trip is the purpose. My wife is one that doesn't get it. She thinks travel's only purpose is to get to the destination. I told her that's akin to saying that the purpose of life is death. Back to the smells... one of my favorite things is riding past an area where I get the scents of fresh-cut hay and honeysuckle. |
