Title: Thank you all
Post by patj197 on 08/25/05 at 11:44:49

I have been hanging around this forum for a while, reading, reading and more reading and I just want to thank all of you for saving me lots of money on a new bike.  My '04 Savage had the backfiring/low power problem and I was becoming very frustrated.  I'm not very mechanical so I tried some mods and quickly found out I was over my head.  After asking around I found a mechanic who would do the white spacer and the idle screw adjustment.  Wow!! What a change!  I just brought it home and it's like a new bike!  I downloaded parts of your discussions and the carb pics to help the guy and I guess it really did.
Thanks again folks.  You are the best!   :)
