Title: chrome replacement master cylinder
Post by sniperjim on 06/11/05 at 14:40:49

So here it all starts, this morning as I was wiping what I thought was dirt off the master cylinder sight glass, I found out it wasn't dirt but the plastic itself.  Now I have an air sucking non-functional master cylinder.

I figure since I am going to customize this 1986, does anyone know of a universal kit that I can get that will allow me to chrome out the brake, clutch assemblies?

I am not worried about the right mirror as I am going to put arlin ness' on my bike anyway.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jim :'(

Hopefully I am not violating the purpose of this section, sorry If I am.

What I am looking for specifically is the handle bar switch both left and right side, and the master cylinder.  I have since bought an oem m.c. off of ebay.  If push comes to shove I will put a dremel to the switches.

Yes.  This section is only for posting technical documents/procedures/etc. relating to the Savage/S40.  All questions and discussions should be posted in the Rubber Side Down forum.  Not only does that reduce pollution on this forum, you're more likely to get an answer.

This particular thread MIGHT even be appropriate for The Marketplace as that forum is intended for FOR SALE and/or WANTED postings relating to parts/accessories for the Savage/S40.

I do believe you are correct.  Susan, can you please move this thread so it complies?

Thanks, Jim
