Title: NC Deflector Sheild Instal.
Post by Savi650 on 06/09/05 at 17:35:23

Hey guys..  has anyone of you already installed a NC Deflector Sheild DX in an S40.  I mean, the windsheild is supposed to fit the S40 OK, but I'm having some problems installing the right clamp.  It looks like the master cylinder is on the way.  Has anybody intstalled one of this before?  I guess I will need to move the master cylinder someway, somehow.  Thanks guys!

If it's only a few millimeters that you have to move the brake master cylinder the do so.

Loosen-up the switch/throttle unit and move it outboard.

The pry the chrome "inserts" out the Allen bolts of the brakecylinder, loosen them and reposition.

Tighten the brakecylinder top bolt first, then torque the botton one.

How exactly do I "pry" the chrome inserts?  I don't want to scratch those.

Thanks again!

Insert the knife under the edge and then twist the knife somewhat. Go around easey and they come out in one piece. The inserts have a sort of mushroom shape.
